"In a single bold effort, the Museum of New Art (MONA) is now launching its newest initiative to overcome this forced entropy. Changing Cities will be a first step in establishing a global art exchange, swapping Detroit artists and work with artists in other cities.
First in this series interchange will be 8 artists selected from the city of Chicago.
Chosen by curator and Chicago art's activist Paul Klein, the range of medium and subject will infuse this inaugural exchange with all the energy of that city's diverse, thriving art scene. Soon to follow, a contingent of Detroit artists will be relocated to Chicago for their own reciprocal ground-breaking exhibition."
regular hours: 12-6pm Thursday through Saturday
MONA is located at 7 N. Saginaw, Pontiac

GO BETWEEN, a new collection of editions featuring 14
Chicago-based artists including Kay Rosen, Joseph
Grigely, Melanie Schiff, Scott Fortino and others
inaugurates a new exhibition space for devening
projects + editions. With Go Between, Dan Devening
brought together 14 critically recognized artists and
asked them to produce paired multiples that present
surprising dichotomies. Contingent upon each other to
inform meaning, the diptychs in Go Between continually
shift to suggest an indeterminate modification from
one to the other. The editions in Go Between are
produced in a variety of media including photography,
drawing, archival pigment printing, screen-printing,
collage and mirrored Plexiglas.
Artists participating in Go Between include:
Kay Rosen
Helen Maria Nugent
Scott Fortino
Amy Vogel
Joseph Grigely
Jin Lee
Cody Hudson
Julia Hechtman
Matt Stolle
John Parot
