Pecha Kucha launches in Chicago on May 29 featuring an array of artists, musicians, architects, designers, writers and activists each presenting their work in some depth but at a comically breakneck pace—20 slides, 20 seconds each.
International celebrity architect
Mark Dytham MBE makes the trip from Tokyo to join locals with assorted accents and images. Scheduled to appear are musician Jon Langford, artists Christine Tarkowski and Callie Roach, photographer and curator Whitney Bradshaw, fashion designer Jessica Graham, writer/editor Ben Fasman, designer Cody Hudson, plus architects Natalie Banaszak, Peter Exley, Grant Gibson, Yamani Hernandez, and Mark Teer.
Chicago's first Pecha Kucha takes place at Martyrs at 3855 N. Lincoln Avenue, Chicago on May 29th, starting at 8:20pm.
Tickets ($10) online at http://www.martyrslive.com/skedule.htm or at the door, if available.
