RADAR EYES NYC

I've got 3 prints in the Radar Eyes show opening this week in NYC......

RADAR EYES, an exhibition of hallucinogenic prints curated by Canadian printmaking duo Seripop, Chicago gallerist Reuben Kinkaid, and The Space L.I.C. will open Friday, November 6th, 7pm at Fardom Gallery, 25-17 41st Avenue, Long Island City. Around the corner, a secret space will stash many more prints and a new installation by NYC artist Sakura Maku. I STILL LIKE FILM BETTER

i tend to let rolls of film build up in the studio and drop them off once every 6 months or so to be developed. here are some shots from a recently developed batch......

BOOK O THE MONTH CLUB

I've been meaning to post this for a bit. here are a few books that i have work in that have shown up at the studio recently.

from L to R

Rest is Up to You: A Boy Named Cohen Morano
a fun book where the homie Aye Jay sent out drawings and paintings his son had made and artists from around the world "collaborated" with Cohen. some of the artists in the book include: Tim Biskup, Kelsey Brookes, Art Chantry, Grotesk, Ed Fella, Kaws, KR, Michael Leon, Barry Mcgee, Parra, Brent Rollins, Chris Ware and many others.

10 Years: T-Shirt Graphics
this monster of a book shows every T-shirt done by Upper Playground from the first 10 years they have been a brand. a cool idea and a great way to see a ton of t-shirts from the past. i've got a few oldies in there from 2003.

Juxtapoz Poster Art
nice book showing the work of artists (including ones that have been featured in Juxtapoz in the past) who work in the medium of screen print.

Art for Obama
the first in a few books coming out taking a look at some of the graphic and art works that were created in the run up to the election. this one is edited by shepard fairey and jennifer gross and shows some great work as well as photos from the Manifest Hope art shows.
