just got some photos back from my recent installation at BAR in miami. The bar has a new artist come in every 2 months and change things up. in the past they have worked with Alvaro (Freegums), Mike del Marmol and fellow 12oz blogger Todd James. it was fun to get a break from the studio and i had a good time in miami (did some swimming in the ocean, hung out with some crackheads, ate some smoked fish & got to catch up with some good friends).
a little about BAR and the photos below….
BAR in downtown Miami is a creative clubhouse opened in 2010 by Aaron Bondaroff and Al Moran, founders of OHWOW. Their goal was to create a hub for Miami’s thriving creative community. A refuge from the stale, pretentious Miami nightlife, BAR acts as a meeting point for all types of people by providing an easy going atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks and an inspiring decor. In line with the OHWOW brand, Bondaroff and Moran invite a different artist to reinterpret the entire space every two months. This constant change creates a dynamic experience for patrons and for the artists themselves. In what has become a clichéd nightlife scene, BAR has risen above and put the OHWOW seal of approval on downtown Miami.
